Carol Johnson is the author of Autism: From Tragedy to Triumph, the story of a young boy’s treatment for and triumph over autism. Her nonfiction work has also appeared in Entrepreneur and Weight Watchers International. In addition, her short fiction has appeared in Clackamas Literary Review, Foliate Oak, and others. A novel, Everlasting, published in 2006 by HAWK Publishing Group, was a fiction finalist in The Oklahoma Book Awards. Following a B.A. from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK, she received her M.A. in Language and Literature from The University of Tulsa. In addition, she recently received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Oklahoma City University. Currently, she teaches creative writing, composition, and literature full-time at Tulsa Community College. She lives in Tulsa, OK, with assorted cats and her husband, more or less in that order.
